The article presents the problem of recreational development of brownfield sites. Four parks, realized in recent years in the former industrial district of Zürich, are selected as examples. Noteworthy is not only the modern form of the objects, but also their excellent integration into the revitalized urban fabric, in accordance with the principle of Mixed-use, according to which the functions of housing, work and leisure are combined.
