Recognition of the stock of historic parks and gardens on Warsaw’s territory and an assessment of their current state of preservation are needed for the proper formation of conservation policy and management of these objects. For the most part, the decisions entering parks in the register of monuments in the capital date from the 1960s and 1970s and do not specify the subject and boundaries of protection. In the body of the decision, only the name and address of the park is given, and the justification for the entry is customarily the historic, artistic and historical value.
