This article addresses the social problems of a degraded workers’ housing estate in the suburban city of Konstancin-Jeziorna in the context of plans for its revitalization. The author focuses on the poor internal reputation of the settlement, which is significantly influenced by, among other things, a high concentration of communal and social housing. The attitude of withdrawal, lack of commitment to the common good, as well as greater territorial indifferentism among the socially excluded, exacerbate the moral degradation of the residents and put the city authorities in need of corrective action.
